KARIN VENHAUER AS A RETURNING AMBASSADOR AT THE ONE YOUNG WORLD SUMMIT IN OTTAWA 2016
What is the One Young World?
It is a prestigious international summit, which takes place in Ottawa this year. It is a conference for young people who are striving to change lives and influence events around them and thus contribute to a better functioning society. Keen to debate with other young leaders from 183 countries from all over the world, they discuss major social issues of today's world, getting an extraordinary international experience and remarkable contacts in the process.
The Pittsburgh Summit OYW was attended by the former U.S. president Bill Clinton, Kofi Annan, Jamie Oliver, Mohammad Yunus, Bob Geldof, Carole Stone and other world renowned personalities. As a successful executor of a Think Big project and a Czech Ambassador, Karin Venhauer attended the Pittsburgh summit in 2012 where she met Carol Stone, the so called “Networking Queen”, who worked for BBC for several years. Karin will meet Carol Stone again in Ottawa and this time she will have a unique opportunity to upgrade her projects to an international level thanks to new contacts and meeting interesting people from BBC and Hollywood.
